For the poulan collectors.... MINTY Poulan Bad Boy 3750 60cc Collector Chainsaw w/ Dual Port Muffler FREE SHIP | eBay
This is a 350/346 thar I had Stump Shot do porting and some machine work on . Should be a great light saw gonna run 20” .325 nk bar and chain on it .
And , this is a torn dow 10mm 044 that eated it’s bearing retainer . All the parts to reassemble it are on order .OEM except the piston ,which will be a Meteor . When all the parts show , it’ll be making a trip tp Stump Shot Saws . Still debating on just leaving it well worn looking , or not .
Thanks mang. It was supposed to be going to saw fest as a poulan wild thing to maybe trigger some peeps but I couldn't get the dye the right color. So STEERE it is. And no, I'm not right. have my own drummer that I march to for sure.
It didn't show up in the pics but it has several coats of this on the entire saw. A couple more since these pictures. Vagazzled.....
Steve does great work my stumpshot 266 is still my favorite saw It has like 230# compression and has cut hundreds of tree's I just replaced av mounts recently I own or have access to just about every Husqvarna professional saw you can think of And I always go back to this 1984 266se on it's original bearings.
Steve is definitely one of the good ones ,Must be a Wisconsin thing … I’ve told him not to go real crazy on the 044’s compression . I figure that between it not having a Texas button , and me being 75 , 200-210 should be sporty enough . I have a MS461 he did ,and even with the button pushed , you best pull it like you mean it . Sweet saw to run .
Having recently started using one of these it's hard for me to think it needs moar power. lol Maybe he's running a 36 on it? I like that muffler. Is it a 6410 muff or did you remove the 'crack pipe'? I put a 6410 muffler on mine before I ever gassed it. I have another one of these hidden away (PRZ2). Maybe I'll get a wild hair one day and send it out.
It is the standard muffler that comes on the newer Makita 7900. The back half is normal stainless. The front half is something goofy that I can’t make heads or tails of. Looks like aluminum, it’s magnetic, can’t silver solder it without rubbing bronze brazing rod on it to scratch the surface a little bit. Yet I can’t braze it with standard bronze rod either. Tucker already had split the muffler and removed the crack pipe. All I did was open up the OEM location and added the second deflector on the recoil side with large weave screen in both.
