Back in 2019 i was upgrading my 290 to a 261 and asked about the Mtronics. I was skeptical. Not being well versed at carb adjustment i opted to the latter. My carb version has worked fine since then.

    Will two 064’s, 044 and 046 work?
    There’s 3 or 4 034 supers on a shelf.

Top row is 272’s. A couple are virgin saws.
    2nd row is 268’s
    3rd row is 262’s
    4th more 268’s
    Bottom is 266’s
A perfect 288 and 371 are under blankets. I’d go once a week if I could.

There are no holes for carburator adjustments like on the top cover on my "REAL" 261, on this new saw,
I assumed this is due to M-tronic. It did seem to "learn" as I got it started with choke, then off choke, then idle till warm, and gave it some revs...
Soon after it ran very well at both idle and full revs.
    If that's M-tronic, I like it.
So for now, I have a new truck saw...

It must be an earlier generation one then. Most are designated 261c IMG_0573.JPG
Enjoy the new saw and hoard on! :saw:

Probably only a dozen or so. To many to choose from, Couldn’t decide which one to get. So now don’t have one.

Finally decided to add pics of my saws. I can't claim the 540I XP as that is the wife's saw.
