I don't know all of the different Husqvarna models. Is the 550 small mount by chance?

Here's what I'm using, and it works well:

    Today’s project.

Failed attempt to weld the rear handle with a soldering pencil and some zip ties. Tried epoxy and fiber mesh. Will need a used one... Pulled the ignition all apart. Not sure if I worked something out, but it at least it starts, idles and throttles well now. Finger buster with the stator advanced if you come up soft.

He said the stickers were leftover from a set he got for his daughter’s 4 wheeler.

Got the 036 up and healthy . Returned it , and picked up this gem .Clean it up ,and found a Metal cutting saw with an 026 power head. Needs a fuel line ,and some minor stuff . As rough as it looked initially , the piston still has the machining lines on it . 61CFBC71-93BE-4A88-AB31-C180A9E07F77.jpeg F47B3719-6935-4F98-824A-3EE55F974EEA.jpeg 83E4D6EC-64DD-415F-95B2-47D1C62A06BE.jpeg

The distinction between conventional .325 and some other narrow kerf "Quick Cut Version" isn't apparent to me.

On the 445 I posted above with an Oregon Speed Cut bar, I'm using an ordinary Husqvarna .325/.050 chain on it without issue.

I'm certainly not an authority on the various standards, though. Perhaps someone else can clear up the difference (if any) between a standard .325/.050 chain and the various speed cut and quick cut designations (if there's any meaningful difference at all).

    I Have a Husqvarna 242xp that has a .325 .58 chain on it. My Stihl 260, 261 have.325 .63 chains.
Did Husqvarna saws start using .325 .50 gauge chain instead of .58 gauge?

Not sure. My 445 is at least ten years old, and the original factory bar is stamped .325/.050. Looks like the current models are as well: Husqvarna 445 Chainsaw

The 562 I just bought a month ago is a large mount running 3/8"/.050 from the factory.

    Super Sweet !
I have no idea why they went from the 371 to the 372.
I had 1 371 and at least 3 372s. Great saws ! I liked the Western version with the 75 cc p+c the best.
I would have gotten another except it wasn't available in the heated handle & carb.
I have yet to find anything I did not like about them.
I've fell some nice big timber with both.

The 371 was made from 96 to 99. Mine is a 1999 and has some of the 372 changes on it. It has the sightlines on the recoil and had a two ring piston and grey clips. I did the port work to it and she runs really good! I need to find some bigger wood to run her in!

Had my 371XP into some big wood yesterday. Storm blown Oak that fell over a fence. 24" bar for reference. [IMG][IMG]
