    Love my 462 Chud. A wow factor of 100. Never ran a 288 so I don't know. I'll take your word. Hit some wire? with mine yesterday and cut my sawing short. Glad it was an older chain.

    That straight main stem in 2nd pic looks to be at least 9 feet long.I couldnt bring myself to buck it into firewood,if its sound throughout would be great running it through a bandsaw mill.Some stunning planks for table/counter tops,similar projects.:cool:

    Anything I can get posts out of I will,
    8’ for line posts
    9’ for braces
    10’ for corners
    Anything else will most likely be firewood.

    Best wood for posts,period.My paternal granddad set hedge posts on his 160 acre NW Missouri farm in the 30's.He passed away in 1972,the property changed owners at least twice that I know of since then.But those posts are still doing their job I imagine.
