261 that I bought new in 2011, 024 that I rebuilt that works quite well for the size of it. My most recent acquired 026 that was given to me. It ate a muffler bolt somehow so it put a mark on the piston and exhaust port. Not shure if I will fix it up into a runner or just use it for parts, it needs piston/cylinder, muffler and sprocket cover. And 260 I got from my late father in law that he bought new.
Don't know, havent checked the saw or my service manuals/parts lists yet.Do know that like other brands, some saws they had were simple to work on,others a real PITA unfortunately.
Personal preference. The faster / quieter / lighter is absolutely true. Not breathing in exhaust. Let go of the trigger and it stops immediately. Again- totally personal preference.
Picked up this Husqvarna 266se yesterday. Gonna get it cleaned up. The chain brake handle is bent, but I think it's fixable. Needs some other chain brake parts also. Will be looking for those parts, so if anyone has those... There is a sticker on the top cover that says Eliminator by Performance Connection. I haven't tore it down to see whats in there, but if anyone know what that might be, I would be interested. The guy told me it had an aftermarket intake element, so that may be it.
I don't know a lot of info besides it was a dealer option thing. I have a friend whose dad bought a 266&288 new with the kits. He know has both saws. I can ask him more questions if you would like.
