I was heading to my uncles yesterday with a car load and convinced them to let me stop at a shop I got the 288xp's from on the way. I brought a couple totes with me just in case. I got 5 55's that I think I can get two runners out of, maybe three with a little investment. I got a 51, an 036 and a couple little guys. 338xpt and 335xpt. So I have something to keep me busy this fall when the weather is krappy. This 338 had me curious today though. I pulled the muffler and the flywheel off the 335 cobbled it together...I also had to buy a primer bulb. And give it descent cleaning. It's a little screamer. Ordered an air filter and need to source a little plastic and 14" b/c. Looking forward to the 55s.
Grabbed another load of Doug. Fir for my neighbour today. '74 Echo CS-701SVL (Craftsman 4.3A/VL) plowed through the rounds handily.
Thanks! I'm looking forward getting into them. I got diverted last weekend when I came across this guy. it runs but needs some starter house attention. Parts ordered. Got it pretty cheap and looked very interesting.
I really like the sneaky wee chipsflyin tag on the saw. well done...and zhe sound of it. rooooooooooaaaaarr
Thanks! I designed the stickers on a work document. Emailed it to a local place that could do the printing and had them in a couple days. I think 2 sets were were just under $14. There's better pics of them about half way down this page. Stihl 038 Super to ported 038 Mag build -Part #3 - case and cylinder prep - (pick heavy)
Im cleaning out my garage and realized.....I dont think I've ever had the whole family together for a group portrait before.
