The little MS250. Great saw! And I'm a Husky guy really. Both great brands though. And here's my bigger saw, 460 Rancher 20" bar on it right now.
Thanks man! Notice the old asbestos flooring I'm standing on in there haha. Don't touch it!! I'm just leaving it. House is really old. That's my furnace/chainsaw/gun room.
Alright...I finally did it. Had a relationship end today with my lady and put me in a fowl mood obviously. So, what does a sad man do when his ole lady leaves him? Buy a new chainsaw. Finally got my 562xp I've wanted. Haven't even made more than two cuts with it yet as I was on the snowmobile trails today before they close. Tomorrow will be like wood armagedon!
It's the 3rd one I've found . I gave the 1st one away , the second one is worn out but ran and this one has gone to the spa lol This one should be a good runner
Found this 272 at the salvage yard a couple of years ago. Finally got around to tearing it down. I've never owned/run one. Cleaned up the jug and piston, new ring, sans base gasket. 0.020". Original flywheel magnets too weak to produce a spark. Had to pull the key and fiddle around with a FW from a 61 donor to get the timing right. Stops up hard if you don't roll it over and rip it. Farmetec seals and clutch cover. Slacking on the quality control,as the flag was defective. Swapped on a used OEM. J'Red 625 donated an oil pump and sprocket. Original muffler is caved in nicely from eating Doug Fir, early style spike, and lots of stripped fasteners for good measure. Salvaged the HD filter setup and threw a 61 starter cover on it to round out the mix and match. Impressed with it after about 50 cookies in the front yard.
