Thanks, I like to think so myself. Not as nice as some of the fellas saws but hey, it's not a competition I don't think... Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
Got this one together a couple of days ago. Took about six attempts to get the jug to seal after the PO tossed it.
Arrived on Friday from my contact in Redding,CA..... 6.8 cube/112cc 27 pound gear drive monster.I always wanted one of the ''9-series'' saws. This is 2nd in that group, the 909G. Very little difference between the 900G,909G,990G & 995G.The 909 was produced 1961-1962,995 last one between 1964-65.
I took a couple of saws for a walk today , daum it was brisk lol https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/vDgi_gbMygaz4C0aCAZJke8xFPsfu3L00Jc9sccHNga8NEzpHkRD52xIzuGZNBZWoV96aBzFlRmZ1I8u6O3C2iKxJDYytRfsnigP24-TOnUrMgyvM5kLWSxozX-rqclJBegEpjhSTvRwY44bSrTZk_D7GQ4i7dXX1jGoJtw5rfpt0a-llfTh5Kj8Ikw3U1DRy2WUIPEjRw_ggKAmXMPxUMQWKQeJFn5CrUJ5W1A6OCNvQUc-qsJE7kU-x6qCAkNiRBZXp5IPoklkLu0MrbM0fSytmGOSqSoxDzTgCbLDGo4NoK4C46g8BjDKGGt7oOjc4XKLV1YExwIS_tizLp_xF5PHaKXB7BBONj3o1NR3kGpLM8yiRv1Y-Gpy-arBLfP2z_4paSZckKCEetadrcR4BCo9JsWpWzyMVerQcvKZV8n5T2BwgUcm0tywhkKeqQKEbTOEoyjbBRLqWyU4z9Zdo1glPuhYyAtuX2r87VK_COdjOLSV9BKTi3SyriAdscLNpizzg4dSRv292tNhxBWDuu0tD6miARsGoynvjI5VQCwUpx1YhTEl1ByOQX9m7CQgMOtUxIrPqZOmP60-ssqIHybWVm224gGvrUE7H3z-yv8x4xQxtu9Knbjkhd9Br_YnTWFnGGjTI0xkemu0VAjjTe85hh9vi0wunA=w1663-h935-no And still no snow .
This one sat on a shelf with some parts missing for decades. My buddy found it just before the retired shop owner was going to scrap the whole works. I added a carb, bar and a little time to get him to run. .
I find that opinion on all the stock one's I've run. Have to port them to make em run with the big dogs (cc to cc). I r/r'd an 038 mag (72cc) a few years ago and it was the most disappointing saw I've ever run! Whatta pig. Obligatory saw pic:
Yes sir sure does. Looks like a fun day! I like that axe, is it granfors? Or something else. I see the blue paint but there are a few different companies that use that. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
It was around 6F with 40 mph winds , the powerco wanted some trees cut before they'd do a hookup . The axe is a Wetterlings that I rehafted .
My saw came back from the shop today. As you can see compared to the before pic, a new Zama carb and an air filter. I did a couple of test cuts tonight and it ran great. Of course it is about 20 degrees warmer outside than the last time I ran it in the woods, but it sounds and feels like all the boggyness is gone. I’ll have to wait for the weekend to give it a full trial. It hasn’t run well for quite some time, so I’m hoping it will be almost like a new saw to me.
Well ,,,, The crack heads know that pawnshops will only pay big money for the Stihls and the Huskys lol
