Getting closer, almost done with carburetor adjustment finally.Sold from May 1963 to June 1964,this 99cc torque monster was quite popular for the big timber. Will pull a 36" or 42" bar/skip tooth chain no problem.Has a primer pump instead of a choke,it works sometimes but takes some getting used to.I seem to have best results pouring about a 1/2 teaspoon of fuel directly into the venturi of that big Mac carburetor. The starter ''catches'' sometimes on these RH drive models, this is no exception.I shortened the rope about 6 inches & tightened the tension on it,that helped a lot.Part of that is just age, internal parts of the starter & clutch are worn & not as reliable after many years of hard use.

No spark on the Super Pro 125C,had trouble with it for a little while now.Yesterday afternoon ordered a new electronic ignition module from Saw-King in Oregon to replace the old points & condenser.Should do the trick. If not, then the ignition coil needs replaced also. From what I've been told though, its unusual for the coil to go bad just all of sudden. The module should arrive in 3-4 days.

I've put too much time & money into restoring it,not about to "part it out" now over a couple minor glitches.Even though I could probably make $150 by doing so because that model of saw is in very high demand & in short supply. Some things are a labor of love,no matter how much work they may be.:saw:

Module arrived yesterday, installed it today. One thing I noticed recently was carb wasn't getting any fuel - lines aren't that old,no cracks or pinholes etc, fuel filter is clean. No gas in airbox from leaks either.Normally would fire on 2nd pull, sometimes 1st.Rarely took more than 3-4 pulls cold to get going. And I could smell/see gas when it was flooded.Thinking it finally needs a carb kit, when I got the saw last April it took a lot of tinkering to get it to run, past several months until last time it was used in late January it ran great, started easy & would idle all day long.Shut it off to take a break or something, came back & it wouldn't start, not even fire.

Installing the module didn't change anything, - fuel lines/filter are great, but carb not getting any fuel.,pull the line from carb & gas runs all over.At least 1 of the intakes is plugged, cant blow air through it. Ordered repair kit with new gaskets etc for Tillotson HS124A carburetor.Should arrive by mid week.Another $12 in this damm money pit. :headbang:

Is it possible there's something I've missed? Gonna rebuild the carb, then if that don't do it,get a different coil.

The failure to re-start when it's warm sounds a lot like a venting issue. Have you ruled that out?

I think so.When it wouldn't start within 2-3 pulls when warm (which was rare) I'd crack the gas cap a bit, then close it again.Always did the trick. But for the last 2 months it wont even fire. Compression is great, havent checked it since last summer but it almost breaks your fingers to try pulling that rope without decomp button pushed.

    Starting to pizz me off....lol

Installed carb kit on Mac SP125C (Tillotson HS124A with fixed high speed jet) no change.Still not getting fuel.

Coil has no spark either,so I'll be getting one of those next week.Saw King has a good one for $40 + postage.

This was part of what I picked at the closed Poulan dealer last month. It was dirty, but appears to have been new and picked for parts. Has a new fuel line and it had fresh gas in it. Needs an air filter, filter cover, top cover, bar plates and clutch cover to be complete.

As close to NOS as you can get!!! Not sure how many of those were produced, but that one needs to find it's way into an Olympic collection somewhere..
