The tail on the 241 is a pulpwood cutters trick from when pulpwood was sold at 4' . It measures 4' from the tip on the bar to the end of the tip . It makes it fast and easy to cut up a bunch of 8' without the use of a tape .
Early-mid 70's vintage red air filter cover arrived recently. Matches perfectly,has the expected paint loss of course but now its original again. Gonna leave it as is.
Yep you see a saw like that and you think about where it's been, who used it and what and how much he cut down with it. See a new or restored one you just don't have those same thoughts run through your head...at least I dont.
