Who the heck sells a 090G? Oh, that's right, some guy with a Golden Horseshoe stuck up his... A never fueled 090G, 041G, another 090, a 1690, a nos Skil bar, and that other thing all in like 10 days....I've never said this before, but..Beau..YOU SUCK!
Nice package!! And hdtoolmkr765 and NewToStihl !! You both suck!! Great scores!! A NOS 385xp? That's not very old, but a great score none the less!! That Skil bar is slick Beau!!
To be honest I don't even know what saws I have. I lost track a long time ago. It's kinda nice when I open a box full of stuff and see a bunch of NOS parts that I didn't know I had or forgot that I had. The bad part is I look all over the web to find a part I need, and then discover I had 4 NOS ones two weeks later.
For some reason I can't keep a 660, I've had probably a dozen really nice ones and people keep making ridiculous offers for them, i.e. they want them more than I do. So the other day I got a really nice one on the cheap. Told myself, I'm gonna keep this one. I'm not letting this one go, then my buddy offered to trade me straight up for... A new in box never fueled 461R. damm the luck...
That was the first saw, an older Husky 350, good for limbing and has the sentimental value Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Probably shouldn't have, but price was fair, condition excellent & I've been wanting one of these for a LONGGGGGGGG time.Plus its even harder to find one with the optional earth auger attachment versus the gearbox/swivel transmission & a 2 man fatbelly bar/stinger handle. Barn find central CA. Model 99 - produced from January 1954 to November 1963.9.82 cube/161cc Powerhead only weight 51 pounds. Seller told me Wednesday "I'm going to Lowes to get some material to build shipping boxes'' Probably 1/4 or 3/8 plywood or OSB & 2 x 2 for inside corner braces I'm thinking.Last I heard on Friday 9/30 there's 3 boxes to stay under Fed Ex's 70 pound limit (MUCH cheaper that way, rates skyrocket over 70 lbs each package) - 1 for powerhead,1 for auger bit,1 for auger gear drive.Shipped late Thursday 9/29,they should arrive by next weekend.
The little Husky 350 was always reliable and good for limbing but doesn't get run much anymore with those 460's and 660, they cut a truckload faster than it takes to load it. Had three 460's but sold one just because didn't cut enough to run all of the saws enough to keep fresh gas in them. Always looking for a nice 064 but they usually are listed for a quite a bit for a 20 year old saw.
Had a few minutes after work yesterday afternoon, decided to rough out a couple more blocks of that 2 year old hard Mulberry. Used the 750 this time, never run it with a short bar before.
