Which chain was it Matt? I don't remember I've sent a few out there. Did Levi ever give you that one back?
This might be the cheapest date at this dance....but I've had it since 1999 and just put some new makeup on her and cleaned her up a little. I ditched the crappy stock Craftsman bar with the "EZ Adjust" built in....what a joke....put on a simple Oregon bar and chain.....added a standard chain adjuster to the clutch cover....new plug...gave her a SeaFoam treatment, and cleaned her up a little. I know, I know the cover says 36cc....but I'm telling ya boys...now it runs like it's AT LEAST 36.1cc!!!
Buddy, o' buddy ol' pal... I am going to need a couple chains readied up for a couple of these GTG's this year. A couple 3/8 050 60DL loops, maybe a 72dl loop too, not sure yet. I have afew months or so yet but will have to get with ya.
I'm sure something can be worked out. You got some wore out loops in those sizes? Something with the cutter barely longer than the rivet works best.
I have one of these at home that my dad gave me before he died. It's ok, but the problem with Craftsman is they absolutely won't restart once it's warm until it completely cools. Baffling
Not a problem with mine. It has always started in a couple of pulls regardless....even with some pretty old fuel.
I think mine is 36 cc as well. This is something I ran into a couple summers ago. When I researched on the net, others were running into that same issue with the 36cc saw. Other than that, it works well.
It was the Oregon with a lot of tooth left... I made a 72 dl based on its shape from an Oregon chain that's a wood eater too.. The LGX tooth is tall, I think that's a real benefit..
