Looks like you get the job done! I used to take the bucket off and use two sets of tongs and chains to load logs, and a tong and welded up 3pt rack to skid out.
Here's an even bigger one... This time it's chestnut/rock oak. I've got the box grader on the 3pt for ballast.
I wasn’t really paying attention to the first half and did a double take after reading the second half and looking at the pictures. For a minute there I thought you moved all that rock with the station wagon
I had several trees sent out for cutting into lumber. Many where larger than I could handle so the guy who owns the mill bought over his trackloader. Its the hot setup for moving logs. The grapple can turn 360 deg. He can lift a 4500lb log with it. Its a ASV, I guess its German Made. Wide tracks, with a high ground clearance. I watched him pick up logs that made the machine tilt forward with just the front of the tracks touching the ground. He hauled some logs all the way out of the woods like that.
This is about big as I can go with my little tractor. I figured it was about 1200lbs. I do alot of fishing so I know how to take a picture to make a fish look big, it works with logs too.
Don't think that is an outhouse, think it is a changing room for when you get done lifting one of those HEAVY rocks!!
Without walking outside....this is the one I used when I was pulling with a tractor. Sliding choker. Easy to use by yourself. My place was logged before I bought it. There was an old farmall M on the property. I found a battery, added gas and it started. I probably cut 200 cords using that tractor to pull out tree tops. Now I use a grapple on a skid steer.
We use forks for the smaller stuff the tractor will handle. Use smaller tongs mostly. If the area is tight or need to pull logs out of thick brush. Have a big set of tongs for the big boys.
