    Found a pic of a cutting edge after I milled oak. The point of posting it is if there is any chipping from loss of temper, you might be able to see it with magnification.

    I bought a cheap grinder with cheap wheels. Those cheap wheels burned and burred everything they touched no matter how slow I bumped.
    Went with CBN and see a night and day difference. No sign of wear yet but I doubt I’ve done 100 sharpenings

    That's an excellent pic Jason. To me, that cutter looks ever so slightly dulled. I'd bet most wouldn't even notice it during "normal" cutting. If you look close you can see the top edge is rolled just a tiny bit & a few tiny dings in the top corner & upright edge. Stuff you can only see with magnification. Thanks!

    That's a nice picture... I've got to figure out how to get that level of magnification on my phone. I can get semi-close, but not like that. I'm sure there is a setting of some sort that I'm missing. I finished my last oak stick last weekend and haven't touched the chain since so it will be interesting to get a close up if I can.
