    Watch buckin billy ray smith on you tube, get the gullet!!!!! He’ll teach ya to sharpen a chain. It takes alot of practice to free hand with a file and when you get good its soooo nice, and then all your friends and family want you to do theirs

    How did you even find this thing? Is it pinned, I don't remember, or were you down that low in threads or did you search?

    Haha, no I don't pin interest anything. Pinned means they have it pinned in that forum so that it stays up at the top of all the treads permanently. The way the forum and pretty much every other one is that the most recent post goes to the top. So a 3 year old thread without any new activity will be dozens of pages back at this point with the most recent post being a year ago. But pinning it keeps it up top where it's visible for all and new people to click on it.

    I’ll be asking where a grinding video is when I get the hang of hand filing , gotta learn to walk first though

    PFERD = Stihl 2in1 . That's all you need in or out.

    I usually hand file my chains 3-4 times before I stick them on the grinder, just to get all the angles back. (All Square Tooth Round Ground stuff)

    I bought a knock off Stihl 2n1 sharpener thing or whatever that new thing they have for handfileing is called. I got if off eBay for about $15

    I use the small sharpening jig that Husqvarna puts out. I think it does a great job and gets my saw ripping through the wood. Check out these chips!!
