Central PA 4th Annual Hawg Day's June 20th, 21th and 22nd

Man I’m gonna throw it out to the Mrs and see. We haven’t been east without youth group kids so it’d be great to make it and spend a few days in the area. It’s a short 18 hour drive

 

It would be great to see you again!

 

Make a week (2?) out of it...we've done that a couple years now, theres actually quite a bit to do/see in the area ("area" being defined to include Pittsburgh too)

 

What's some ideas? Since the date was moved, we don't have to be in a hurry to get home. (If we get to come...)

 

I'll hafta get back to you...I don't recall the names of a lot of these places. And some of them wouldn't apply so much without little kids.

 

Yeah for empty nesters it's not quite the same visiting the Zoo/Aquarium. Back in 2012 I stopped at this little hole in the wall hippie place and had an awesome time with the wife: Glass blowing school and gift shop. Sadly they closed shop last summer.

When I was in the area last I stopped in New Castle PA and checked out a defunct amusement park which was a good way to kill a couple hours.

 

So, places close down after you've visited?

Maybe you can get compensation for not visiting, eh?
