What doesn't go down with the Glaser's, will be taken care of by the 12Ga, pistol grip, 18" barrel Mossberg with the 00buck loads.
Not mu Not a whole lotta choice. I haven't bought any ammo for a while… I know it's harder to get and will get even tougher in the future. I bought a bunch of Silver Bear and some other Ruski cartridges when I bought the gun 3 years ago. 50/50 mix of FMJ and hollow points. I wanted to buy a couple thousand rounds but didn't have the cash-ola then… got less now. . Kinda funny how hollow points were pretty much unheard of when I was a kid. I think they were even illegal for a time… may be a local thing dunno. We used to shoot with an old Winchester 94 in 30-30 trim… shot my first deer with that gun. I believe it was my father-in-laws grandfathers rifle… maybe from the early part of the 20th century. I carry a .380 now. Got to keep myself safe now that I'm an old codger. I'm afraid some kid will try a knock-out punch on me… and try to steal my pellets!
Just redid my CCW permit. Mailed off the paperwork yesterday. mine expires in june. Only had to pay the instructor 20 bucks this time, but all I did was shoot the gun four times. then had to pay the State Police 60 bucks to background check.
Pa is a shall issue state. I purchased my first carry firearm when I was 21. The process was fairly simple, pickup application at the sheriff's office fill out and send back. Then bring a picture of myself to the court house after approval to have it laminated. I get it renewed every 5 years. Only once did the license to carry look good, lol. Anymore they are just thrown together. I think the renewal is about 16 bucks cash only. I get balder every time
I mentioned in another pistol thread that I just renewed recently and the officer that did the intake on me put down that I had partially white or white hair on my card. That was the first time any ID has had that on it.
I just sent off for my SC permit as well as my Utah resident which will allow me to carry in about 40 states.
I renewed mine in the summer of '12 and it was $25 for 5 years. Problem is; Pa is almost completely landlocked by states that DO NOT honor our permit. To leave the commonwealth legally with a concealed weapon, we have to go through WV. It's one of the 31 states that honor ours. http://www.usacarry.com/concealed_carry_permit_reciprocity_maps.html
