Congrats to the new friend. Sounds just like mine, they all know their names but listening is optional for some. Here are a few of ours. I was really a dog person but everybody else was convinced i should become a cat lady. It's Sarah's fault i ever got married, she told me she wasn't going to let him go. Very opinionated which almost cost her her life. She was at a shelter and refused to eat anything but Fancy Feast and hiss at people. The lady that worked there knew me and called to ask if i would take her or they would put her down. She was with us for 23 years. Below is Redski, lost him to diabetes. He was a phenomenal cat very smart and loving. Mouzer showed up at the house. At first his tumor wasn't so big but he was very unfriendly and we couldn't catch him. When his tumor got this big he changed his mind. Here he is still hissing at me. (pic as attachment) The same afternoon he brought me mouse and put it on our door step. I got a carrier and put it by the mouse and waited. Mouzer went in and was ok after that. The vet did a fantastic job. the tumor came back and it took 3 operation until it stayed away. We lost Mouzer to cancer about 5 years later, it had invaded his whole body. Leo was on his way to the pound. A woman from the neighborhood was carrying him when i was working in the garden. Being nosy i wanted to know where she was taking the little guy. This is him shortly after. He is still with us fat and happy but unfortunately diabetic. Smooch and Sidney were inseparable all their lives. Smooch is still with us but has become a little withdrawn after Sidney passed last year. Ghillie Dhu is a Scottish faerie and he was a little imp as a kitten. Here he is visiting Honey who is recuperating from parvo. And the list goes on
Great looking herd. Sarah looks like my Onyx. "they all know their names but listening is optional for some." Wonderful statement. It couldn't be truer.
