I've been struggling a bit with a hurting body but still trying to get out and keep a little bit busy as it helps to get exercise, albeit a bit strenuous. So I had a heap of wood that has been sitting for way too long and with the snow melt decided that would not be too strenuous so that's what I've done the last few days, albeit only an hour or so at a time. btw, that is wood that was cut during the winter of 2014 so yes, I am still way behind. Also, right behind this wood stack is one of the deer blinds I built using firewood. Yes, it worked very well. There is still a bit more wood to stack and I'd liked to have finished this last row but a lot of the rest of the heap is still snow covered and frozen together so I just stopped and covered it. That was a bit of a task too as all I had left for covering is some junk pieces and the wind was kicking up. But I got it covered at least temperorarly. Still have some that has to be split. Hauled a few more logs out. Also found that some deer have been laying right next to the stack. Maybe Shawn Curry would like to make some lumber from these.
