Our warranty has no small type. It is a 100% no fault warranty against thermal shock and thermal degradation. Combustors do have a life span and there are many contributors. However, for consumers that do not operate their stoves correctly and never read the Owners Manual (not you guys of course), there are things that can cause the above conditions. Overdraft is one such cause, as well as leaving the door cracked open too long, burning ice laden wood etc. If you have combustor that was OEM with the stove and it fails due to thermal shock or degradation, we will replace it. We will also call you and help to correct the cause for the failure, using it as a teachable moment for some. It should be expected that combustors become less effective over time. Independent 3rd party study shows that combustors at 9.5 years still perform exceptionally well in terms of gr/h. On a different subject, the current administration just passed a new tax law. Not certain where to post this but the administration just signed into tax law a new federal tax credit for wood and pellet stoves. Past credits had some upper limits, which this does not. This covers stove, venting, labor for install etc. and it is 26% of what you pay. It's not a tax deduction, but an actual credit! 40% of current products qualify at 75%HHV efficiency. This pdf has all the details. So if you have wanted a new wood or pellet heater...this may be helpful.
