I asked this question in another thread but no answer so give it a shot here.
How does the warranty work on Blaze King stoves, dont they have a 10 year warranty, maybe I'm wrong about that.

There is a one time replacement warranty on the original cat within 10 years. Other companies are doing similar promotions. Hey, that’s great for the first replacement but I’m on like #4 in 9 years. They only last 10-12k hours and for some people that is a lifetime but for full time burners that might only be about 2 years. You can do the math for your burning style.

I’m a bit worried that new stove buyers of all cat stove brands will think they can actually get 10 years of cat life when heating full time with wood.

Cat stoves are really great even with the realistic expectations of cat life.

If i have learned anything it would be this in daves post above. Dry, well seasoned wood turns my 36" Xtrordinair into a flamethrower that would burn the top of your head off if you even drove PAST my house. However, wood that i didnt shelter property and that contains too much moisture will cripple the performance of the fireplace to a point that is amazing. Im not saying its so wet its sizzling. Just too high moisture. Lights well. Stays lit. Burns. But not anywhere like some good dry oak. As a result, I think I wear out my cats in two years because in an effort to get more out of the wood, I run the fireplace too hot sometimes and damage the cat i guess.

Highbeam, thank you for the reply, would love to try a cat stove but not sure it makes sense for me now.
