This sounds very like a very interesting idea Boog! But, unfortunately I'm not very politically savvy nor that witty. Best of Luck with this and hope it turns into something for you. I believe I'd enjoy watching.
WOW! It's unfortunate you had turned on the members like that. Yes, I too am concerned about our country and what my son will have to deal with when he becomes an adult and starts a family. Best of luck to you Boog. I hope you can find what fulfills you in life. Hopefully the good Lord is a part of that.

I really love my Fiskars x27 splitting axe, and the new Fiskars maul arrives at my house today!

    :ups:

Oh, I am a (democrat, republican, green, libertarian, or anarchist - one of these is true), not that it matters HERE. The thing that matters HERE is what we can agree on, and I am sorry when people assume that being reluctant to engage HERE means a lack of concern.

I have kids and grandkids too. I am active in my own way, trying to improve their world, which does not involve this site. It is better that way. This is a place of sanity, where I can learn from others and they can learn from me. And truly about things that really matter, because politics is not the most important thing in our world.

I hope you find what you are looking for Boog and know you remain welcome here, as far as I am concerned anyway.

First of all this is not some grand experiment we have with this site. We all started this site to get away from politics and on with all things firewood and outdoors. We are all very much aware of the fact all things involve politics but that doesn't mean we want it on this site. All politics does for most people is create walls and arguments between friends.

We have made it VERY clear from day 1 that is how we feel and frankly how most of our membership feels. I think everybody can come here and have a good time but that choice is yours to make.

    Let me spell it out.

    1) We funded this voluntarily so we could truly help people.
    2) Our store is solely to fund the sites very expensive upkeep costs and we are completely NON PROFIT.
    3) We set rules that are not that hard or cruel to follow based on what we wish this site to be and what our membership majority wants.
    4) This is a FAMILY site.
    5) EVERYTHING WE DO HERE IS TO THE BENEFIT OF THE MEMBERS we dont make a dime and spend our time voluntairly to help.

I for one have had about enough of political bs threads popping up but you see thats the beauty of what we do! Our staff may not always agree and we even have our little tiffs with each other from time to time but to me they are all family as are all of the members here as well as everybody we can help even if they dont join. I come here to help everybody I can and frankly thats why we give our time. We vote on everything and thats also a sign of how we get along if the majority says yes so be it. If we can help somebody every day not burn their house down or prevent them from getting hurt and enable them to keep warm we have succeed. Once more if I make a friend along the way and that person helps somebody else then that is real success!

Love thy neighbor and I dont care what religion you are thats universal.

By all means take the politics away I dont want to see anybody leave but politics are out!
