Here in Rochester I paid 18.99 a lb yesterday. At least they were good! I've had others not so good...
Wow! And, I get them right from the fishing fleet store here. My wife and I had some here about a month ago and they were $16.99 then. God, I can remember paying $5.99 and B!T@#!NG...
Made some cornbread to go with home made chicken noodle soup Buttered the new BSR Poured in the batter and in the oven at 400° Pulled it out after about 15 minutes and brushed the top with butter and right back in 6-7 more minutes and Wow does it look good Let cool and cut
Pan fries, and asparagus sauteed with mushrooms and garlic! I grilled a small steak and corn in the Webber as well!!. Probably weird, but I choose to cook probably 90% on top of the wood stove. I get in trouble because of oil splatter and end up scrubbing the top about ince a month! Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
That looks "too good" I would love to sink my fork into that meal, Like the idea of the asparagus and 'rooms done together. what fat or oil were you using in the pan?
Hey Flint, maybe you could go here and lend a little advise. Earth Stone Mystery. This new person could use some help being you have an earth stove!
Did my first cast iron steak last night. Never would have thought they can be just as good if not better than a grilled steak. Being able to baste them in the pan is what does it.
Random out of the blue question in case I come across any more old cast iron. Which spray on oven cleaner is the correct one to use? Is it Easy Off brand, yellow lid?
The Easy Off that has the lye in it is the one to get. I think it’s yellow cap. Don’t get any low odor type. Do not, I repeat, do not get this on your skin. I had a drop fall on the outside of my wrist and it burned a hole in my arm. I didn’t even feel it until it was all the burned through. Been a couple of years and I still have the scar.
