Cool! Yea, I could find a decent spot for something, but it would have to hang from the ceiling perhaps? Maybe above the counter toward the bottom of the pic

Wow, that is a real nice kitchen. But yes, not much wall space.

Thanks.... I think a cast iron or a heavy duty black rack hanging from the ceiling would be ideal. The ceiling slants, so something with chains perhaps. This would be the bosses choice though....

What comes to mind is: put the trash under the sink. Out of sight and mind. then put a pan rack where the trash can was. We always had a trash can out, but it was always a problem. The under the sink one is better. It is on a trolley that pulls out easily and slides back in. Plus is the dogs can't get into it. also because it is smaller, we empty it more often. That is really a positive thing for odor control.

That's certainly a good idea! I hate that thing there anyway. I was looking on pinterest (thanks to your link) and there is some amazing stuff on there for ideas. Plenty of home made stuff, real rustic! No way I'm paying $ 225 for something, so I'll build eventually. Some rough cut lumber, lightly sanded a bit, stained with black iron corners hooks and chains would look amazing. I suspect anything down low will attract puppy tongues. :p

Make those backside facing out. Or go up with the rack.

With the heathen in me showing up, I use an 8 penny nail hammered into the floor joist in the workshop to hang the four pans I'm allowed here!

You've been told to hang the pans in the workshop? Then bring them to the kitchen?

Naw, just use them for cooking on the woodstove. She doesn't appreciate cast iron....

I got a lot of other junk in there also and all are in big plastic storage bins. I do have a pic somewhere that shows about half of them when I was wiping them down for storage, I'll post it when I find it!

Yeah, that trash can just draws the eye and the first thing I thought was why didn't they put in a wider base cabinet so they could put the trash can inside. I'm sure it had to do with the exit door and laundry clearance, but that is not, IMHO, the place for a trash can. Course, I'm sure when I start paying your mortgage you will be more inclined to pay heed to my decorating advice :D

Before she gets beat up any more, she doesn't appreciate cast iron as much as we do. Is that better?

Yeah, I'm guessing about a 1/3 there. I counted over 150 pieces some time back... I have 8 pans down here in my den in a box, I forgot I had till I started putting things away for the winter this past weekend. Every time we go to Wisconsin I usually hit all the junk shops we see through PA, Ohio, Ill, and Indiana. I only came back this last trip with two though, too much family crap to deal with...
