I haven't heard of an SR9C Pro either. Regardless, the SR9 is the double stack model, the LC9 is the single stack model. There is an LC9 Pro.
It is LC9s pro I was reading LCP not LC9. And when I paid attention I realised I did not know what the sr9 was but assumed it was a larger frame double stack since I remembered that Griz went with the 24-7 which is not really a small pistol.
Have to disagree with both of you here. Ruger make an SR9c and an SR9 neither being a pro. Each are double stack magazine, with an external safety, and a magazine disconnect. http://www.ruger.com/products/sr9c/models.html The LC9s is their single stack sub compact, and it is available as a pro. http://www.ruger.com/products/lc9s/specSheets/3248.html
As much as Ruger throws around the "LC" name, it's easy to get them all mixed up! Then you add in the LCR and it's line of guns, which are all revolvers!
Yep I can't imagine trying to conceal a 1911 or full size Glock in shorts and a tshirt and sitting in a truck. Plus the dam thing weighs like 4 pounds loaded. Thats a lot of weight in your pants or on your belt. And I promise you a .380 or 9mm will kill someone!!
The Kimber 3" ultra with aluminum frame isn't bad to tuck in shorts and a tee. need some good leather though
Hey, try looking at a defense scenario from the attackers view-point. I'm serious. Unless they're on drugs (home invasion), or on the street (adrenaline/ drugs), in which case they most probably won't give a crap, a small pistol will stop most people from doing what they'er doing. Even a .22 . No one wants to get shot, not even the nutballs. It hurts.
Also some say they can't shoot a small gun accurate etc. Any CC gun is a gut gun. Your gonna be shooting someone pretty close. Your not shifting them at 50ft unless some strange circumstance. At least you better not be shooting them way out. At 15feet or closer your pointing and shooting and any gum that you can comfortably carry will fit that bill. A .380 on you is better than a 45 at the house.
My wife did that. Random pic. I guess, don't know that guy in the brown coat. He did give me a nice butt scratch though......
I typically carry a .38 special. But one of these little suckers is on my wish list to keep in my pocket around the house or when I don't want to carry something larger. I figure a .22 though the nose or gut will make most people stop what they're doing.
Any of you have any real world experience with the CZ 75 PCR? While shooting with my son the other day he brought up he wants to buy one of these. I know nothing about them . http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-75-d-pcr-compact-black-alloy-9mm-14-rd-mags/
Didnt a member post about buying a CZ 9mm or something a few weeks back? Either he did or it was someone else buying a CZ? But I think 2 members had them. Cause I remember it was discussed they looked like a baretta. Will try and find that thread here in a bit.
I am planning to carry the 24/7, still waiting on holster and my second permit to arrive (remember, I live right on a border). However, I do not plan to carry the 24/7 "24/7," only when we go to decent sized towns or large events. I see no reason to carry it around our little town, the only place I go is the post office and I can't carry there!
Its your choice but you really ought to get in the habit of carrying whenever you can. You want to be conditioned that its there. I too live in a very small town. But you never know when the random person passes through and will cause trouble. You never want to be in a situation where you want your piece yet dont have it.
