Pretty much exactly what I was looking to get for my first car...including the rear louvers...Looking back, I dunno why I wanted the louvers! :picard:
My parents had no problem with me getting a 'Stang, even a V8, but the one I really tried to buy was stick and my dad said no because mom couldn't drive it...I'm like what, wait a minute...I'm the one buying the car, why does she get to drive it...he said why have I been letting you drive my car?! :emb:
I still don't know what the big deal was, mom could drive a tractor, so I'm sure it would have been easy to teach her to drive a manual trans car...oh well...I ended up buying an auto...Mercury Bobcat...wagon...:picard: :startled: :headbang:

    I still have these:

1977 Cutlass (bought it for $200 in 1989 with a blown Olds 260). Now it has a stock Pontiac 400 out of a '73 Grand Am....yeah, it's still slow. LOL This is what kept me out of trouble in HS. It was painted the day I graduated HS, June 9th 1990.

    2008 Vette:
JSB (Jet Stream Blue) photographs like crap, so here's a video. The color is much better in person.

Here is my old '85 Bronco II...302 AOD auto transplant, 4x4, 3" body lift, 1.5" suspension...still could only get 30 x 9.5 x 15 tires on it due to the XLS trim package.

Put a 4.0/trans in it out of an early 90s Explorer...almost a drop in and WAY more power than the 2.8/2.9 V6!

The 4.0 is a good motor. I had a ranger with one. It would be a good option.

yep, same car. It's actually a 1989 Ford twilight blue pearl clearcoat metallic, 7F IIRC. It was sprayed by a guy who owned a little body shop. thanks.

Well I'll be dipped...that is blue...nice...I love blue metallics! :binoculars:
Hard to see in my pic, but my Bronco is the original color, but I had them switch all the metallic flake to large flake when they mixed it...really made it pop!

As do I...as you can see. My Firehawk is navy blue metallic as well. The Vette I HATED JSB in all the photos I saw, but once I saw it in person I liked it over all the other colors that were offered that year. The '07's had a dark blue, but I wanted the LS3 over the LS2 of the previous year. I also like metallic colors period. It gives the paint depth over solid colors.

Stock photos...not mine (I can only wish).
My favorite all time car would be a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Two Door Hardtop (sometime called a Sport Coupe) . I've owned three over my lifetime....sure wish I had one now.

Yay I got the trans working right today. It was a cut wire. Now I have to track down the misfire. I just had the motor and transmission out to regasket etc. And now working out the bugs

This is my absolute favorite car I've ever owned. It's a 2001 E39 BMW 540iT with a 4.4L naturally aspirated V8, speed limited to 155 mph. This was designed or high speed, luxury cruising on the Autobahn. I picked it up just a couple of years ago with 215,000 miles on it. It was immaculately maintained and it purrs like a kitten. My only minor complaint is the automatic transmission. Unfortunately, they didn't import the manual gearbox on the wagons back then.

I have never owned anything German other than a few vws but have driven a fair number and all have impressed me. Other than Porsche. I just don't like their driving dynamic. Supposedly their awd ones are much better though.

My wagon is simple RWD. It drives like a dream for me. Not for everyone though.

Never driven the wagon. But I have driven a 5 series sedan and for a big car it was fantastic
