I was talking about y'all, or Eric, if he comes. Gaszilla vs the Stroke No pulloffs for me, mine is just a 5.4 gasser
It's kinda funny to me that these trucks need monikers for their engines. Power Max and Dura Stroke! I guess putting 'Isuzu Powered' on the side of a Chevy is verbotin.
I wouldn't think you'd need one, I don't run one on my 3/4 ton towing a 25'~ camper I did have some tail wagging one time because my camper has a rear storage big enough to store my genset, some 5 gallon fuel cans and other stuff so I loaded it all up. Yea.. way too much weight on the tail. Wasn't terrible but it was just bad enough to learn the lesson of balancing loads in the camper.
We finally made it to Cloudland Canyon State Park, not long before dark. Got our fire going Roasting some dogs... Our first supper on our 37th anniversary trip..
We took the camper out for a short trip last week, we went to R. Shafer Heard Campground on West Point Lake, it sits on the GA/ALA line, a bit north of Columbus. It's a COE campground. Our view from the camper... The lake was in winter draw down and water was clear... Just got the fire going, dry splitter scraps for kindling, cherry and pecan wood, sure smelled good Cooked up some Vidalia onions to go with the steak dinner...white oak chunks going on the fire now 4 nice ribeyes, we had company come over... Full moon over the lake Tuesday night... Have to be careful where you camp these days...a crazy FHC hoarder might show up... Actually, it was planned. We found out they had been down in FLA and were stopping by the campground for a few days...I was on my days off and found a site 2 spots from them. Had a great time with Nitrodave and his wife, Anne. Hadn't seen him since we met in '19 at Backwoods Savage GTG. And yes, we left them with some cherry and pecan wood...
While we were on our last camping trip, Nitrodave had a foldable step he let us borrow...worked so well we ordered a similar one. It came yesterday. It's aluminum and has adjustable legs.
