Hey guys, I moved this over to the game room so that it can hang with the other fishing and hunting threads.
This years tom, this was was a hard bird to get. And he came a long ways to get to me. It was an awesome hunt and was blessed to be able to be out there. I love turkey hunting, my favorite turkey trip was out to Nebraska. Wow is the turkey hunting great out there.
Grizzly I see your a modd now!!! I am a want to be. Bit I seem to never have access to birds. I own 130 acres but birds like the neighbors place better so I get nothing !! I try but no success. And here on public land there smart here and hard to call
Clem those SC birds are tough. I hunted them for a few years down there and are right about public birds. They can be tough.
On the right place where people dont mess with them they almost come on a string...I dont have those places and the few I have had I blew!! I did call a jake in first weekend in april on my place. From behind. He saw me and I blew it...yes I would of shot him. Its near impossible or is to call tue gobblers out of the adjacent food plot to me thats like 25 acres on a creek and planted and has hens and to get to me they have to go through 50 yards of briar infested clear cut and jump a creek!!
