    Wrapping this one up...

Finally got around to it and just replaced the 2 rims... $230 for those alone... tires were able to be saved, filled with WW fluid (overfilled, but that's another story ) for a grand total of $433. Aside from removing and re-installing, I just paid the man.

The rims looked so nice, I had to wash the rest of the tractor.

Mounting those (relatively) little wheels was not so easy. I can't imagine doing this on a real tractor.

Oh, I also flipped the hubs and gained an easy 3-4" of rear wheel width which should make her a bit more stable.

Try it sometime with 38's and wheel weights mounted to the rims...

That's when you have them come to the farm! I have 18.4 - 34s on my tractor & have no intention of taking the wheels off. Farm service cost vs my time, more than worth it!

Getting a new set of fronts for the MF1230 this morning 24x8.5x12 type of skid steer tire. lugs are horizontal and overlap down the center 6 ply side wall. dry rot has claimed the set on it now, one let go 2 Sundays ago stuck a tube in it to get by but know it won't last long due to the casing being bad at the tread sidewall juction. $250 installed. There were some other cheaper options in turf style but load factors suffer greatly and only 4 ply side wall. Kinda crazy trying to figure the tire sizes 24-8.5-12 has pretty much been eliminated 23-8.5-12 is what most everything is listed as now but are just over/under 24" dia. trying to stay within the 5% factor for the lag/lead of the mfwd.
