C/L Maple Score

Answered a C/L posting after work for free Big Leaf Maple, guy said I could park within 10 feet from it and biggest rounds were 36".

I think cool, dont need any wedges,sledges,mauls or saw, I can just roll them to the truck and hoist them up with the Tommy Lift

So I arrive at the house and look at the wood, he fails to tell me it is down a small slope, and the rounds are looking like a jinga puzzle and they are way bigger than 36" more like 42"+ and some have a lot of rot

And oh yeah, the easy stuff is reserved for the neighbor
So I move around and load up what I can, about 25 rounds of decent stuff

Says he has more people showing up tomorrow for some, but showed me a nice Cherry that is coming down tomorrow as well, told him I would definitely be interested in that. but if he has people coming tomorrow while I am at work chances are slim I will get any

 

That's still a pretty nice score.

 

It's just the center that's crap in that "round".

there were a few that look like that, but yeah it was a good score and was real close to home. But more work than I wanted to do on a Tuesday evening, thought it was going to be an easy deal
