Great day working together as the ol' buzzards....er...buzzsaw brothers team. Glad you finally got to meet each other and that is a nice tree. to you both.
In my 10 years of hoarding wood, my son almost always helped. When he turned about 17 or so, he had other things in mind so the working solo is a new thing for me. I kinda don't like it. When I'm hoarding for my parents, dad is almost always there and that's quality time for us. He's past the point of wanting to run the saw for the most part, and I'm great with that because it's the best part.
Im available for adoption! I like cutting wood! Hows his finger doing? I used to cut with my dad and uncle years back. Uncle had the tractor, dad would cut, i was the laborer. Years later when i was older i was the saw guy.
Adoption, hmmm. Lol! All throughout growing up, my dad never let me be the saw guy. Wasn't till I was living in my own place that I became familiar with them. Guess he just liked it too much, I dunno. We used to get firewood in a VW bus! The center seats came out he we piled it in. Wish I had pics of that. He's doing ok. Docs told him they wanted to give the thumb some time before deciding on a course of action. I can't imagine the shards of bone are going to heal properly. He's an old goat and just soldiers on.
