If you want a do everything grill/smoker get a kamado style one like a green egg. I have a knock off one made by chargriller and I love it. I can smoke 40 pounds of pork shoulder on it, grill pizzas, bake bread, high temp sear and grill a steak etc....... I even bought a stoker for it from BBQ Guru that lets me set the temp and then walk away from it for a 12-16 hour smoke and not touch it or mess with it.

Agreed! i was keeping watch for a used WSM, when my kamado popped up for sale. if it's not cracked and has all the parts, an old used ceramic is a good buy.
