    The old didier that I use is no more than 15 tons and could easily split those. That's the only reason I will split vertically.

    That Maple is easier to deal with then big fresh cut oak though, that stuff is hebby

    I think we also have a video of Tim and his nephew running the log splitter in horizontal mode. Working as a team (a great one too) they really put out the splits super fast! Here is another picture of some of the splitting gang (or one of the splitting gangs). We have TurboDiesel , Mrs BrianK , Mrs TurboDiesel (with back to camera), Carl (a neighbor) and walt on his powerful and loud atv. I think they must have been talking strategy.
