Ain't time to make fire here yet. Stove's all cleaned up and ready though. I know how I feel along around March, after shoving umpteen splits through the Jotul, so I say 'Whoa bessie, what's the rush?' Now, I have heard rumor some folk up in the northern territories, they already commenced to burnin', but it just ain't time here yet.

I'll be lighting one tonight when I get home. Currently 52 and drizzling, going down to high 30's tonight.

Nope. High of 74 ands low of 50 today. The extendo-cast shows similar weather into next weekend so I don't think it is happening anytime soon.

I just lit another fire in the stove. Supposed to be in 30's again tonight. Not that cold out but damp. Temp in house is around 65; outside 55. Too cool for our comfort when we are in the house. Nice outside to work though when it is like this.

One short burn a week to heat the top of the tank. Won't be long till I'm throwing in wood like an old time coal tender on a locomotive.

No where close yet here. Just getting cool enough at night here in NC to open the house up rather than run the A/C!
