Decided to work on my wood rack....or is it a shed now? I've been working on our fence gate, including putting on new fence boards. I priced 4' vs 6' boards and the 6' footers were only $0.30 more so I bought them and used the left over boards to put a floor on the rack/shed. The double racks without a floor. The scrap fence pieces fit perfectly...I guess it was meant to be! Now it just needs some more wood! Also put some edging in after I was done with the floor. Think I will put pavers on the right side and rock on the left.
schlot, Looks like the "Mrs. schlot" had some input on this whole project. It would be in my case. " the wood rack needs to look good too" is what I have been getting. So, add another thing on the "hd" list. Seriously, looks good and since you built all out of the "use again" pile is fantastic.
Thanks man... she appreciates it looking tidy. She enjoys the natural look of things though so when I filled a couple other wood racks she even commented how it looked good. And you're right I get a big kick out of using, reusing old material! Makes a project even better in my mind!
Nice job schlot! Mrs horkn has been asking me to make a woodshed that looks better than the tarped top cover as well. The leaves are still covering it from neighbors not, but that will end very soon.
There is something about wood in a shed that brings out the wood nerd in me. So much better looking than my wood racks.
