Buckingham tree gaffs

    wow, forgot about this thread, to many replies lol, pole spurrs havent been much issue for me, usually they seem to be preferred over tree spurrs, except soft woods, since the bark is so thick, im on a tree climbing forum, some nice guy sent over $700 worth of gear, (Thanks Tony), I inspected it all, anyways, I could put tree gaffs on this set, but they would stick down past the bottom of the "Stirrup" allot, been practicing allot, I usually put a drt system in before climbing, so if I fall I get caught by that rope, I know most people will say "Have a professional train you", yeah, not an option for me since I dont have any around me, or money for one, but enough youtube, reading all the ISA and ANSI Z133 standards along with the tree climbers companion and a few other books will teach ya most everything you need to know to get started, although I will say, unless you have VERY good hand eye coordination and a good gut feeling, stay out of climbing
