I'm hoping I can get the rest of the pile bucked up tomorrow. Poundin the Ibu to me right now. A few pieces went left when I went right today... Saws are all full fueled and new chains on now. Looks like it's going to be warmer tomorrow but maybe will hold off til noon.
Got the pile all bucked this morning, along with the two log stringers I had under it. Started at 7, saws off at 10. Gotta pull the loader off and get the mower back on this afternoon. It's time to build the woodshed add on next. Here's what happened this morning. I can get a little more wood in the right side of the shed, so I can split anytime now. Still have tops down in the woods too. I doubt if I've even got 2 cords here. Sure looks different after getting chopped up. Good to get this pile ready for splitting. Nice this morning with a breeze. 65.
Lot of sawing you got done there!! Nice job, must feel good that is behind you now. You saw some of those pretty long, must have a deep stove.
I cut em at 20". The Liberty takes 24" but I don't like fightin with em more than I have to. Yep, good to get this pile bucked. The splitting and rolling to the shed is a nice laid back op that I'm gonna enjoy... a lot. It keeps me moving doing light lifting, now that the gear is helping with the bending and heavier lift stuff. My pea brain is going nuts trying to figger out how to get the tractor and claw down to where the tops are. Man, would that ever help with that stuff. But, there's lots of small rocks and obstacles that could start sounding very expensive as I tear things off the bottom of the JD... Might just use the Suz to drag big chunks up to the yard where I could grab em with the claw then.
