The handle on the Logrite/Stihl tools is pretty highly resilient foam with good grip and they dont slip-personal preference I guess-either way, they both make work much easier, just like the beech log I sliced and rolled in the pics-saves the back, saves the chain
Horkn You dont have to bend so much using the hookeroon/pickaroon. Once you get handy with it you can pick up splits and put them right on the stack, and you will find yourself just walking around with it, policing your stacks admiring your work...trust me on this one
I tried to buy a hookeroon at the Stihl dealer on Friday, but they didn't have one in stock so I ordered one along with a couple other parts. I have a good amount of beech in my woods, but I haven't seen many trees around otherwise. They are a majestic tree. Nice looking log!
Like I said previously Shawn Curry, Logrite is a small mom and pop operation (good for them and how cool) I think I waited near 3 wks to get mine-they are the same tool, just painted a different color-you will be glad you did-make good snake boppers too I imagine though fortunately I havent used for that purpose yet but thanks to Horkn I'll prob see one in my sleep-hope I've got my hookeroon with me---Thx-I cut the top half last week-this piece was about 35' long-like my beech, loves some ash...
