You'll have to get in the CACHE and clear it out. That contains the cookies or "breadcrumbs" (trail markers) that are causing the problem. Google " clearing cache" for your brand of phone or computer.......that will walk you through it.
Nope that still does not work. Went into the 2 browser apps I have hit the "clear cache" button. Watched it select everything and I still see question marks?
Maybe not? Not sure if you ever saw the post where I realized that all these pics people post that are hosted elsewhere I can't see in the browser but I can see them in chrome. I'm talking pictures that are at like photo bucket they show up as question marks to me but chrome shows them..?? Pictures hosted on the site as uploaded work but not when links are imbedded.
Well these smileys are hosted at photobucket, maybe that's part of the problem your having........might have to use the Chrome browser.....
I would suggest switching to Chrome, I had issues with other browsers that when using chrome they were fine so I use that now for my computer and mobile devices.

I will switch not that I am against it...but all my bookmarks are in the I guess default android "browser" and when I click the "view this thread" or whatever button in my email it uses the other browser...not chrome. I'm sure there is a way to change that, just have to figure it out?
Define regular browser? If you have a large cache and only visit a few places you may be seeing old cache entries in other words your browser isn't always using the most recent page and therefore the links on it are old. ETA: If the forum software plays games on what it serves depending upon the browser it sees it is talking to it is also possible that Scotty didn't get all of the places changed that produce the smiley links.
See the Browser app in the list with the round blue icon. That is the one that can't see photo bucket stuff.
