Pretty good size for a locust around here. Just for you Dennis, I'll put a tape on "the big one". ;) It's actually the next to go.

I have my eye on a dead one at the office. But its only about 10"s in diameter. And I opened my big mouth so I'm going to split it with my wood cutting buddy. But thats not how I should think, right ?

Same here for the cold....I've burnt more oak and hickory this year than locust, but I have run some through her.

I cut two nice sized hickories down this winter, I'll be saving most of that for cooking and smoking wood.......that is some great wood too....
But you and I, we're LOCUST dudes......;)

You're probably right it should just give that nice pile of white oak and shagbark that will be 3 years old away and cut some more locust for next year.

Locust will spoil anyone. About half what I burn is locust, and try to wait til late in the year.. because once I get into that stuff, I don't want to burn anything else :).

Great score for sure, there is just something about BL that makes you feel different while unloading and splitting what you have gotten. I love making image.jpg criss cross stacks with it especially when it's bright yellow.... Enjoy.....

Be thankful that AK has Birch. Otherwise it would be uninhabitable. :D
