It is getting better for sleeping at night here even when it’s warm & humid during the day. I’m thankful for that.

I do firewood whenever I can to be honest but most of the fall is spent delivering firewood. I’ve been selling since I was 19 and I’m now 43. I started out with my brother and the first year we did maybe 10 cords. We did 10-20 cords for about 10 years or so and then one year we did 40. My equipment back then was a lot older, smaller, and slower. About a year or two after that my brother got out of it and I upped my numbers and equipment. I’ve sold at least 100 cords a year for about 10 years in a row now.

are all your customers regulars? Do you do any CL or FBM? I tried CL for the first time last Winter. Did okay.

A lot of regulars. I don’t advertise anymore because I can’t keep up but I once did Craigslist and before that I would rent out space in the paper

Worked from 7:45-1:30 today. It was 90 degrees with 73 degree dew point. It was a mix of sun and clouds though so it wasn’t all that bad. Got a lot of cutting done.

We didn't make it to the wood yard today. Helping our son clean out a double wide he is buying from a friend. We have moved the 10x12 back porch, had to cut a big plum tree and bigger red bud, some big enough to split for firewood. Still got the front porch and ramp to take apart and move, reinstall the tongues on the front. Some shade, some sun...water has been my friend this morning, going back to finish now...our current conditions. IMG_20190817_142149894.jpg

Jeff, your weather station reminds me why I left Ga with a quickness.

Great people down your way, but the weather is horrendous to this Yank.

Worked from 7-11 today and it was fairly disgusting out - dew point in the upper 70’s with zero moving air. I could have gone longer but was satisfied with what I got done so I called it for the day. Dang, the pool felt good when I got home!

CF9EB21A-3674-49C5-B1AB-F9F81F8AF27D.png Well I got just shy of 6 hours in today. It was pretty gross out. Went through a gallon and a half of liquids by the time I was done. Working all summer has certainly conditioned me. I couldn’t have worked this long on a day like today back in June.

Glad you are able to do it. Your weather looks like GA a lot. Keep an eye on yourself.

This was when I was done today. Supposed to be around 80 with low humidity the next few days and I’m pretty darn excited! F2DEA3E6-6096-48D0-948A-DFDD7C7CAF66.png
