Just snowblower the heaviest 10inches of snow in many years. My goal of snowblowing the driveway changed to doing just enough to allow us to get out in the event of an emergency. It will probably freeze overnight. Let it. I'm done for today.

no rain here about 14 inches on ground.. white and fluffy I took a pic it's solid white... winds blowing at 4o no sense in blowing as it won't make a difference! drive way is closed! in case of emergency 2 snowmobile are safest for of travel... complete whiteout.. 6 o clock news said heavy bands of 4 inches an hour are coming! BRING IT!

All powder here. Took care of the driveway, made paths to wood piles, loaded the truck and took care of mom & the apartments.. full load of pine in the boiler to take some coals down, overnight load brought over so I won't have to wheel across the yard.

    Now time to relax.

Looks like it's about done here. No clue what we really got, probably somewhere around 10" I would guess.

Crap was like cement! I knew I was screwed when I stepped up onto the drift at my door, and my fat azz didn't sink in at all.

IMG_3865.JPG 19:40. Signature Nor'Easter. Living on a hill we've got a 6 mile fetch to the north before you the next big hill. The wind just tunnels through leaving a 4' wake at the garage and 3' at the road. Leaving a well kempt basketball court in the middle.
The black loaf in the mid-field balled up asphalt shingle from the garage roof. Adjuster will pass by tomorrow.

IMG_2177.JPG IMG_2176.JPG Just rain and strong winds here. Nothing changed after I posted this morning. It was nice going food shopping in a pretty empty store. Before I went out I called the store and asked if they were all dug out and open. The joke over the guys head lol

I agree. I thought it was just plow compaction because I concentrated at the end of the driveway first after breaking through the wall. But that stuff was like clay.

What a mess. Ended up with 20" and drifts of 3ft in spots. The Deere got a workout that's for sure!

That's actually really nice as a set up! I never knew what the electric ones looked like, rather their size but that just makes it much more versatile for you. Saving you the trouble of whacking the hatchet off the porch and wood splintered all over.

Those people just fail to plan ahead but Im sure that guy either lost power and barely uses his wood stove or something. Glad to be in this group but i really shouldn't say much now since I dont have a stove here. Would definitely like to though!
