I just spoke to my friend in New Jersey, lots of snow and wind; he was getting snow pellets when we spoke; he was getting ready to head back out with the snow blower and then to clear the vehicles before it all freezes solid tonight.

Ok, almost live snow pics from Maine, just outside the shop door a minute ago. Starting to blow pretty good now. DSCN8650.JPG DSCN8651.JPG

Yes, just wasting time waiting to get enough to plow.:D Not that FHC is wasting time:whistle:
BTW, as you can see in the first photo, the picnic has been canceled.

Crazy wind here, lots of branches down that I can see, wooded lot next door has a maple that snapped about 10-15' up and hung up in another tree, and another started to fall and stopped when it hit the tree behind it.

    Thanks!

IMG_0398.JPG 15:40. Sleet mixing in and windy. Just went around the house to the front and caught the dpw plow/sander backing down the road. Must be a tree across the road.

Axe thrower? Just saw your log target.
From the looks of that snow, "windage" might be a big adjustment today:rofl:

True, I needed to bang it left of the shed to boomerang it.
That's was built for hatchet catching. I'm sure it would grab an axe too.

About a good foot, just saw on the news a town a few over from us had 64 mph gusts. Yeah it's starting to blow hard here. I love a good nor'easter. I went to the grocery store 2 hours ago to shop, visibility was just a couple hundred feet. But there were plenty of good parking spots. Travel without 4wd would be pretty tough, but the plows are everywhere.

Here are some pics I just took through the screen on the deck door because I couldn't push the door open with all the snow up against it. DSCN1501.JPG DSCN1502.JPG

About 10" here. The wind has picked up a bit. There are reports of trees on two different houses just north of me. The rain line is creeping in from the coast, and should be here in a few hours. The snow will get heavy.

My picnic table (about a half page up) is now bare. No measuring this one, at least honestly:whistle:.
I do love a good snow storm also NHMM. esp. with a pile of wood next to the stove & toasty warm house. Several freezers full of meat & veggies & no oil truck tracks in my drive!

I too have plenty of meat & veggies in the freezers. I was just looking for a reason to go out for a drive. I love driving in deep snow.

No problem, I didn't figure you did. I sure some folks in other parts of the country can't believe we enjoy, or at least make the best of a good ol' blizzard

Just watched the 5:00 numbnuts standing in the snow. I think your just in a (forgot what they called it) where there's a big hole in the storm through central MA. But it's still all around you, might wait a little

We're still getting a pretty decent amount of downfall right now. I tried to take a pic but it doesn't show very well.
