I think in 3 or 4 years, were going to see lot more posts on how to prevent rot, rodent infestation, and insect damage from occurring on 6 - 7 year old stored wood..... Of course that would be with most severely impacted Firewood Hoarders.... :D

Not! Store it 10 years and it is still good with no rot or rodent problems. That is, if it is handled right.

Congratulations Beet Stix. That 3 years ahead will pay back for sure. You are right, it takes a lot of work to get 3 years ahead and most will not do it in a year or two but that is okay too so long as they are working toward that goal. You have ash and that is great. The Ideal Steel will love it. And yes, congratulations on the new stove. Any word on delivery date yet?

With 60 degrees indoors in winter and $480 electric bills, I'd have been busting butt to get wood and a wood stove too.

You have an A+ plan working Beet and the IS will love the dry wood. I look forward to this winter with an IS too. If only I had known when we started burning what you already know now...
    Oh, and nice stacks!
