Just think how good 38 cords would look in the yard! You would really need the dump trailer then.

I'm trying to stack a little tonight. Alright Shawn Curry, I need a little help here.. Mine aren't nearly as precise! 1440452954194.jpg

Since this stuff is cut a little shorter than what I would do, I'm gonna lay uglies down the middle while trying to lean the stacks in a little for stability. I'm also gonna crib about every 4 feet instead of 9.

Did you remember to send your firewood laser away for its yearly calibration against a certified wood stack standard?

That's a great haul for the price! That's about what you'd pay around here for 2 "cords" - only they're talking about face cords, not full! :picard:

Stacks look good too! Making cribs every 4 feet will certainly give you more practice... ;) Honestly I cheated on mine - the crib wood was 90% slab from the lumber I made, so it had one side sawn flat.

That is not cheating Shawn. It is called using your head.

Right where I want to be.
Only problem I see is the pallets aren't full yet.
haveissues is right, I'm pretty sure firewood laser calibration is a yearly thing. :D

If you have the space, load it up! Great firewood, great price, good feeling having plenty of dry wood. Contemplating buying some rounds from my local tree guy; don't really need it, but I have the space and it will be plenty dry when I need it down the road.

Here's what I've stacked so far. It's all of the first load but after seeing how nice Shawn Curry's stacks look, I started taking 2 sides off the smaller rounds with the fiskars for cribbing like slab wood so I have a pile of those I'm waiting to use.. Probably about .8 cords per load once stacked. Thought it would be a hair more but I'm pleased with that for the price and white ash.. 1440885051793.jpg 1440885096999.jpg

On a random side note, when I was coming back with the load the car directly in front of me was involved in a really bad looking accident. 55 mph 2 lane and someone pulled out right in front of them.. I was the first one to go up to the car and really wasn't sure what I'd see.. fortunately, all involved were physically OK just shaken.. A split second sooner and the t-bone would have been in the door rather than the truck's bed.. Drive safely people and look twice.. Just glad all 4 occupants of the 2 vehicles were alright..
