Over 1,000 hours on -THIS GUYS- "cheap" Chinese splitter with no issues over the 4 years he's had it.....and he's from Texas, so it deals with the heat.

  no, I just took one, so it would be unfair.

I guess my personality should come with this disclaimer.

All good. I am sarcastic too but not knowing you and not being able to tell tone makes it tough. Carry on! Oh and that meme is awesome!!

No problem. I was out of line posting what I did. Those Chinese splitters catch a lot of grief, and rightfully so, but when I saw your post I remembered his post and went all A.D.D. decided to post it. Sorry to send this thread on a tangent....another thing I'm good for. :zip:

Pretty disheartening to hear about Timberwolf. They were a well respected brand.

Lol. Guess who's got a Stevens Point Brewery gift pack of some sort coming their way?

My nicely worded email, including pictures of the date/ batch codes, and a picture I took in Emerald Bay at Lake Tahoe, prominently holding a point beer in my hand, got the attention of the marketing manager. The batch codes alerted them to quality issues, and I let them use my Tahoe picture for marketing.

What's really funny is that the woman that answered my email had a familiar last name. The same last name as an old college buddy at UW Stevens Point. In our correspondence, I asked if she was related to my old roommate Brandon. Yep. She's his wife. Small world.

My point ( pun intended) of the story is that a well worded email or a phone call to the right people get things corrected.

We’ve owned a chinesium Champion 22T since bought new in 2012. Works great, 1st pull starts after a year sitting w/ non-E gas still in the tank- unstabilized at that.

I didn’t know about the somewhat recent sale of Timberwolf, but I echo the sentiments of members who dealt with them in better times. They really had a good thing going.

If you paid with a credit card try to get the credit card company involved. Most will go to bat for you if you have a legitimate reason, which you do.

Bro that is one crummy set of circumstances. I'm sorry to read that you've gone through that.
