This is my son and me on the Kansas River, I believe three years ago. We saw the deer crossing the river ahead us, so we paddled quickly up to where it was. The bank where it came out of water was too steep for it to climb so it headed back across the river. That's when my friend snapped this picture.
Yeah, I've seen a few catches like that. Tuna.........The sharks are real interesting when caught while fishing for something.....smaller. never caught anything like that myself....yet anyway haha.....we've caught a couple nasty little critters though, but nothing big like that. Must be fun.
My first wife was a lobsterwoman so while I was a railroader by trade, I would head out on the water when I was on vacation. We caught a Yellow Fin Tuna one night...
Sadly, while out hauling traps where we got that lobster, some friends of mine were scallop dragging and never made it home. They think the drag caught on the bottom and pulled the wooden vessel apart. An airplane picked up the EPIRB and radioed back to the Coast Guard, but all they found was debris floating. Sadly the cold Atlantic does not give up the dead. 4 guys lost their lives, 18-34.
My lad wanted to go fishing for the weekend for his 23rd birthday an I was forced to take him Not a bad weekend even managed a few dawn photographs
Yes indeed! I love to fish myself. Both bowfishing and rod and reel. More so rod and reel. But I see you're in SE WI too...what area you in?
Cedarburg. It's a quaint little rockwellian town. But now the lakes are a little crusty. Here's a picture from today, in the northwoods of Wisconsin. I'm on the lake here in this picture.
Ahh yes, I'm certainly familiar with Cedarburg. Nice area. I go to the Pioneer Village tractor show in Saukville right near there every year.
Went out on the lake this morning, it was kinda slow but was able to snag these up for dinner tonight.
