We spent a lot of time on the lake this past long holiday weekend. Mostly on our pontoon, but I took a couple of rides on my buddy's StarCraft I/O. I had to drive it to the launch and back for him. My buddy going past my pontoon. It's a lot of work to be a dog on a boat.
Finally got a little water time this morning. As usual my brother gets the first fish of the day.... and a certain someone who shall remain anonymous lost a large mouth at the boat that would have eaten that smally!
Work boots and new office. If the weather will ever straighten out! Stupid storms (Irma and now Invest 90L) are throwing a wrench in my plans.
Hiring? yooperdave, 52 minutes ago Report Haaa. You'd be bored with all the darn warm weather, sunshine, fish and zero reason to burn wood!
Currently in Venice La. Scheduled to be taken to K.Largo. If we can get the weather to change. I am heading down on the 9th to try it again. 2nd attempt. Now the weather folks are talking about a significant weather event possibly landing near Venice. Geez. Starting to wonder. Irma took out the docks/services at the Keys destination first. The next storm appears to be wanting at the boat itself. Gulp
We are driving down near Tampa on Friday so I'll have to keep an eye on the sky I guess. Hope you can get some water time! I'm thinking I won't unless it's swimming at the beach
I'll be winterizing the nautique soon. Tomorrow night I'm helping a boating buddy out with winterizing his 4.3 v6 IO glastron on my way home from work. I usually get my boat into storage around Halloween.
I'm holding out this year on winterizing until the last minute. Last year I put it away before Halloween and ended up with fishable weather almost to Christmas .
I like being on the water before daylight and right at sunrise, it's so peaceful. Didn't get to do much fishing this year. the oil pump went out and had to get it fixed.
Yep, I'm holding out too, as it takes me 30 minutes to winterize my nautique. I do however know that my schedule probably won't allow me much more use of the boat this year though. I do have a couple of vacation days to burn though So while the weekends are filled, there's good week day weather yet. I do store mine at a place though, so I don't like to go past Halloween. The guy that owns the pole shed where I store it is a wood hoarder so he's all good.
