Thank you, when I lived in Maine never saw a aluminum ocean boat and many of the lake boats were glass. Small boats and pontoons seemed to be aluminum not much else. Opposites here it’s 1000/1 for aluminum to glass.

Really like the Alaska Bulkhead! Walk thru or step up thru is the best solution for front access which is absolutely necessary. I gather the bow is open rather than a cuddy? Very nice boat.

It’s a step out but has plenty of head room. Open bow with storage access from inside.

Here are a few fishing trip pictures.

Big hooks. This is from a thresher/mako trip that was uncessful.

125 lb. blue shark was our consolation prize but not good to eat, so we didn't keep it.

Just a pretty boat I saw while fishing off the dock one day.

That’s a interesting how the crimped that circle hook, we uni knot them here. If the crimp hooks to the back side it sweeps the barb out of the mouth. 4B3E1FEF-38DC-47E2-903D-3B5AA6112F73.png

That's good to know. The captain tied that knot. He seemed like he was pretty good at catching shark but we didn't get them that day.

Nice pics. Must be something really special for you to go fishing on the ocean, being that you live in Ohio. I kind of take it for granted that I can drive 45 minutes and be on the water. I suppose you can always go to Lake Erie, which would get you close, without the salt water anyway. Where were you heading for shark, off Montauk Long Island?

Ha! Yes, the ocean is a special place. I didn't actually see the ocean until I was maybe 25? Normally I would catch the boats out if sheepshead bay but that particular adventure was out of the lower tip of Queens. It must have been around Rockaway but a buddy drove to the boat basin so I don't exactly know where we were.

Yes to Ohio fishing but it isn't quite the same. I have steelhead close now which is fun. I still need to go for walleye and steelhead but I did catch a trophy sized freshwater sheepshead. I got my ohio dnr trophy pin for that catch. Lol

I used to fish as an escape from my job. Since leaving the city, my life has been a lot less stressful. Oct. 31st of 2017 there was a terrorist truck attack on a bikeway in lower Manhattan. 6 people died. I was on the bikeway a few hours before that and could see everything from my work building. That was the last straw for me. Now we live in a small town about 20 miles outside of Cleveland. The fishing isn't as good but overall, I am much more content. :)

Jeeze, yeah just missing a terrorist attack would sure have me re-evaluating my living situation. I'm about an hour and a half drive from NYC but haven't been there in over 10 years (I don't do well in crowds, surrounded by miles of concrete) Must've been nice being that close to the water though. I've been to Lake Erie a couple times, in Erie PA where I drove out to Presque Isle State Park and went to the beach there. Fun times. Been to Lake Ontario years ago for Salmon fishing. I like where I'm at. I fish the Connecticut River a lot which has plenty of catfish, and in the warmer months the striped bass make their way up the river inland. Always a nice variety fishing brackish water.

Not sure if I shared this before but it’s a scenic ride down the Kissimmee River....

I think they have good walleye fishing over in Erie, PA. We should get a group and charter a boat sometime.

Seems like July is a good month. I could swing for a 3 day weekend? Even a day trip would be fun though. Probably PA over to Detroit would be my range.

I have some gear but probably not all of it.

I have a bunch of gear, but if we will be trolling for Eyes, I just use the boats equipment!

First voyage of the ‘21 season today!
Just up to a local reservoir with the family for some fishing. Boat fired right up and ran good after outside storage since last summer. Only a few bluegill to show, but that’s fine by me. No squirrels or mice to be seen at least.

Nice, I’m definitely due to go myself. Nothing wrong with Bluegill either. They’re great this time of year, before the water gets too warm.

I didn't take the camera with us but we took the boat out for the first ride of the year. Even though the place we went is a reservoir I was expecting low water levels because of the lack of rain but the water level was high like it would be in the spring.

The attached pictures are from 8/5 & 8/19/2019, I was expecting the same low water levels but they were up above the high waterline on the rock in picture 9448.

Lake Winnipesaukee? Sorry to hear about your water pump leaving you dead in the water.
