That had to have been run in reverse. As in he started with the boat on the hitch, then as he took it off, it went down the hill in reverse.

    Rule#1. Wheel chocks.

Well, I tried the Mr gasket baffled breather grommet on my Nautique. The grommet fit really loosely. So it ended up letting oil mist out around the grommet making a mess. Fail. I did read a few reports that the grommet fit loose. Now there's a huge difference in the actual valve covers, stamped steel, fabbed steel, cast aluminum, or fabbed aluminum. Maybe it would work on cast aluminum covers, but not in mine.

I will try the moroso baffled breather grommet. I'll just need to buy one. If that doesn't work, it's either make/ buy a baffle for the valve cover, or but different valve covers with the baffles already on them.

We took the boat out for another ride on the water today, it was overcast but we had lunch on the boat and enjoyed the scenery. Pictures 9339,9446 and 9508 are of the same little tree at different times of the year. In the spring you could just see the tree in picture 9446.

The water is down about 30 feet from the highest level this spring.

Same here. It was a little over cast, but the day ended up being beautiful. Sunny and almost nobody on the lake. I should have brought my wakeboard. It was smooth all day. That's usually not the case in this little lake.

Went out for kokanee in my dad's boat last week. Some of the best kokanee fishing we've I've had in a while. 20190830_203949.jpg 20190830_204040.jpg 20190820_180753.jpg

I think I’m about to buy this boat. I was going to order the exact one but they have this one at a dealer at a $10k discount. I wanted green but I think I’ll suck it up for that price.

10k off, sure I can't think of a better reason. What outboard motor is on it?

Tohatsu 150. Not many in America know this but it is a Honda painted a different color.

Yep, those are good. Suzuki's are good too, and have a big discount from the Yamaha/ Honda/ Mercury/ BRP chokehold.

Very true. I’ve had 5 Honda outboards all fantastic. The great thing is that the Tohatsu outboards are 2/3 the Honda price. As long as I’m confident in it I really don’t need the “H” on the back.

One of my boat buddy's has an old outboard ski boat with an older ( non oil injected) 78 115 hp v4 that had ignition coils failing.
For S&G's I looked what a new 100 hp OB would be. The tohatsu or Suzuki were much less than the big brands.

He ended up getting a used ignition out the newest v4 2stroke ignition from Evinrude for a lot less than a new outboard. The boat's a 1968 Larson and a new engine would really look out of place on it. It was his dad's boat.

Yeah, good thing he kept it that way. I really like those vintage boats.

Often wondered if the Tohatsu were like GMC trucks. That’s what they put on the front if they can’t pass Chevy’s quality control.

Suzuki dealer. Or online once out of warranty. Really it's the same for any outboard, or really anything with an engine.
